Hatha yoga classes are considered gentle yoga with classes focussing on static poses and a slow flow. Hatha yoga is great for beginners and intermediates alike. However, even though it is gentle, it can still be physically and mentally challenging.

Poses will allow students to work on building strength, improving muscle tone, balance and flexibility. Poses will be modified to suit the students in class and their level of experience and ability.

Hatha Yoga Wokingham with SJ

Classes typically start with a gentle warm-up leading on to more physical poses, and ending with a short period of pranayama (breath work) and guided meditation and relaxation.

Hatha classes provide an opportunity to stretch, unwind, and release tension, providing a good counterpoint to both busy lifestyles and high intensity cardio workouts.

Students will leave feeling revived, relaxed and ready for the week ahead.
